Welcome to the Brandermill NRC Website!

Since Brandermill's early years, the Neighborhood Residents Council ("NRC") has been the communication arm of the Brandermill Community Association ("BCA") Board of Directors. NRC representatives communicate throughout their neighborhoods, taking concerns and solutions to and from residents to the BCA Board.

Using e-mail technology and its web site as its primary communication tools, NRC representatives facilitate the exchange of ideas and opinions with the BCA Board of Directors and other BCA committees.

Remember to Lock Your Car Doors

Posted April 27, 2012 at 5:09 PM
This message courtesy of the BCA Crime Prevention Committee

At 3:00 a.m. this morning, a Neighborhood Watch Coordinator was up and looking out her window. She noticed moving flashlights between houses. The police were called, and it was discovered that two cars in Shadow Ridge had items removed from them. Both had unlocked car doors.

Please be sure you lock your car doors! If you sight any suspicious activity, call the police at 911 (do NOT confront anyone), secure your house doors, stay inside, and wait for the police to come. Have a great summer and be safe!

Visual Perception Survey

Posted April 27, 2012 at 5:07 PM
The NRC at its April 18 meeting passed a motion to perform a visual perception survey on how residents may want to view the open space surrounding their neighborhoods. Creation of the survey itself has been proposed as a 2013 MPOC project. Brandermill, which was developed in three sections, has varying neighborhood styles, and it is felt that residents may want the surrounding open space to reflect transitioning styles.

If residents, who are knowledgeable and skilled in photography, volunteer to serve on this project, the survey may be prepared and executed as early as this year. If interested in serving on this project, please contact Mamie McNeal at NRC-Info@BrandermillNRC.com no later than Wednesday, May 9.

Welcome Totes for Renters

Posted April 27, 2012 at 5:05 PM
The BCA and NRC have now put a process in place for NRC Reps who wish to deliver Brandermill Welcome Totes to neighbors who are renting to do so. Simply send your request for a Welcome Tote and the address to where it will be delivered to us at NRC-Info@BrandermillNRC.com. We'll notify you via e-mail when the Welcome Totes are ready for pick-up and delivery. Thank you, Reps, for taking the time to do this, and special thanks to Kit Kavanagh for advancing this idea.

UPDATE: Vehicular Hang Tags

Posted April 27, 2012 at 5:03 PM
Boat renters including the marina renters get a hang tag when they pay for their boat stickers. The hang tag is not specific to a certain location so it can be used anywhere within Brandermill. We have two different hang tags: one for residents and one for guests. Community Manager Pritz states that "this system is not in place to inconvenience residents but to help keep non-residents from using our parking areas and amenities." For more information, contact Jennifer Strader (744-1035) at the BCA office.
